Frequently asked questions
Do credits expire?
No. Whether from a one-time pack or a monthly plan, minutes stay on your account indefinitely. A subscription's minutes keep renewing each month, but nothing you've already been granted is ever clawed back if you cancel.
What counts as a minute?
Credits are charged against the duration of the audio you transcribe, rounded up to the nearest second. Editing, re-segmenting, translating, and exporting are all free, so you only pay once per file transcribed. The free tier is also capped at 5 transcriptions a month, whichever limit you reach first.
What happens if a transcription fails?
The minutes are returned to your balance automatically. Credits are held while the job runs and only spent once it succeeds.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. You can transcribe a clip up to 5 minutes without an account to see the timing for yourself. A free account unlocks SRT and FCPXML export and gives you 15 minutes and 5 transcriptions every month.
Can I translate subtitles I already have?
Yes. Upload an SRT, WebVTT or SubViewer file on the subtitle translator page (/translate-subtitles) and download it in another language, on the original timing. Every account gets 3 free translations, and translation is unlimited for anyone with a credit pack or plan.
How do I pay?
